Recognising its historic foundation, Ripley Endowed School will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in   partnership with the church at parish and diocesan level. The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils.

Emphasis is placed on the establishment of happy personal relationships between children, staff, parents and the local community.  All pupils are encouraged to develop confidence in themselves and are made aware of the importance of self-discipline and consideration for others.  Every child is at a different level of development when entering school and this is the point at which the learning programme begins.  Pupils are treated as individuals and are provided with opportunities to develop their present skills and aptitudes, while, at the same time, learning to work with others. These principles are reflected in our school motto: -

"We listen, we learn, we achieve, and together we succeed."
