Forest School

Ripley Endowed School is delighted to have a Forest School one afternoon a week.  Forest School is an inspirational process, which offers all our children opportunities to achieve, develop confidence and self-esteem, through hands on learning experiences in our very own school garden.  The children began their Forest School experience making bird feeders and identifying birds in our garden, before finishing with a campfire.  They will continue their learning journey each week starting with a game or activity linked to a theme, skill or an identified area of the curriculum. The children will then explore in their own self-initiated activities, develop skills such as tool use and finally come together at the end of each session to share a campfire snack and reflect on what they have experienced, achieved, tried or improved.
